What Our Clients Say

Course content comprehensive + covered a lot in 2 days. Venue excellent and food also.

Have really enjoyed these two days of NVivo training with Elizabeth. As a complete novice I was worried as an used to the 'old fashioned' ways of data analysis i.e. post it notes, highlighters, etc. I have been completely converted and with Elizabeth's gentle teaching style with 'at elbow' support - at has been amazing! Thank you!!

Elizabeth, many thanks for your instructive and helpful NVivo training, what brought the training alive were the stories and examples along the way. It was also engaging and fun so that made the learning all the more easier, best wishes Nat.

Thank you for the SPSS training on Thursday (12/03) at Medway Campus. For me it was extremely important and showed me extremely useful software that contribute to better informed management decisions. You managed to present us a complicated study material in an easy for understanding way.

Anita Rahova, University of Greenwich

I just wanted to drop a note to say thank you for the training I attended yesterday at NTU. It was clear, easy to follow and fun. Your bright and cheery personality made the session a pleasure to be in.

Elsa Ball, Post Graduate Researcher | Nottingham Trent University

I thought the course was fantastic! I thought your teaching style was spot on - you managed to make very complex things sound simple and conveyed it in a very empowering way. You took a lot of the mystique out of Statistics - which many people run in fear of, and gave me confidence that I could do it and handle SPSS on my own. I feel much better equipped to do clinical research now. In fact I am excited about doing different analyses! I think everyone should do this course right at the start of their clinical training. I think it would really help people get their heads around doing it the right way and not producing poor quality work. Thanks Elizabeth.

An informed and friendly introduction to factor analysis - would recommend to all PhD students.

A very engaging and interactive session. Elizabeth listened and followed our needs.

The training was excellent and directed perfectly for the cohort. Elizabeth provided an excellent pace and method of delivery and I would recommend this training and ask to be reminded of future course dates. A very valuable and informative session, thankyou!

With no background knowledge of NVivo and at the early stages of my PhD, I came to the training with some trepidation about the future direction of my research and concerns about how to manage large quantities of qualitative data. I left feeling excited about the project, motivated, and organised. I have a clear plan for the future of my research and I am confident that I can move through data collection, analysis and reporting with the support of the software. The training was in short excellent and made the whole thing feel so very easy. I am impressed with the software and its capabilities, but Elizabeth also provided advice about how such capabilities could be used effectively within the real life context of academic research. Absolutely invaluable. Thank you!

Good overview of the functionality of NVivo, and some excellent resources to take away. Thank you for your patience and friendly manner with a lot of us!

I have found the course very informative and I liked the step by step clarity. I feel confident to get started with my data now. Thank you!

The workshop really helps me a lot as I just finished my data collection. I learnt that NVivo could make our data analysis more efficient (save time and energy). I'd tried to use NVivo, and have no idea about some points, e.g. to link within topics, to structure the Group Discussion data, etc... but now this workshop had informed me a lot! So, thanks a lot. I'll contact Elizabeth, as I need any info regarding NVivo. Thanks.

Thank you very much for very useful workshop. Even though, I already finished my data analysis, I can use NVivo for my future research. I also knew how to do my work in the fastest way!!!

A step-by-step practical guide through SPSS suitable for the novice and the more practiced hand. With a refresher in statistics this is an essential course for any individual embarking in clinical research!

Thank you for providing me with the SPSS training last week, and thank you for giving me the one to one training. I really appreciate that you took the time with me and I felt like I got so much more from the training than I may have in a group setting. I liked that you provided me with exercises to work on, for our next session, so that we could discuss anything that I found difficult or did not understand. Thank you again for providing me with the one-to-one training in SPSS, and giving me a broader understanding.

Jane Pringle, University of Kent.

  • Excellent background to the main functioning of the software to get started with using it.
  • Good demonstration of additional functionalities.
  • Glad we had a booklet that we can refer to for that purpose. Thank you!

This session is very informative and beneficial. I learnt various concepts including data type and measurement - categorical and continuous and how to summarise them correctly. Thank you Elizabeth.

Thank you for sending the video. The course went beyond my expectations as I did not anticipate that I will be able to set up my own project so quickly. You are an excellent trainer - knowledgeable and positive about one's learning capacities.

Useful training that was delivered at the right pace to be able to follow. Very engaging trainer too, which always helps. 🙂

Thank you - for your guidance and help, good humour and support - despite the power cuts + IT problems! Useful to know we can contact you for more support if needed in future. Thanks.

To add to this simple and useful introduction, I want to know about ANOVA, and sample size required for clinical trials. I understood how to judge statistical significance from the p-value.

Hi Elizabeth, you are like my GP. I like your clinical problem solving teaching method. I enjoyed today's session the most. My whole day will remain happy...Thank you.

Thank you very much for an excellent 2 days course. You've taught me more in 2 days than I've managed in the last decade I reckon.

The course was hands-on using our own data. The training was excellent. I very much recommend this course to all doctors.

It was good to see the different functions of NVivo and have a go. It's brilliant to have the booklet to use in the future. Thank you!

Fantastic and amazing demonstration I did not bore during the session. I hope I will do a good work using NVivo.

Really useful. Great to have training that is role specific, answering practicalities/process questions relevant to our work rather than just working through a series of exercises. You'll be on speed dial! Thanks.

I wanted to thank you for the NVivo training today – it was very insightful, clear, and I really appreciate the energy you put into it. Teaching online is never easy but you made it seem like it is!

“The 2Day Complete N-Vivo Training course delivered by Elizabeth has helped me immensely, not only in using the different tools included in the software, but in understanding further the data analysis process which I am about to undertake for my PhD. I am now already confidently starting to put into practice everything I learnt. The video recordings provided at the end of the course together with a comprehensive booklet are a useful reference that will remain at my side for the duration of my project. Thank you again!” Ellie.

I found the "explore" stuff very useful. It was much better using my Mac today, rather than learning it on a PC and then being confused at home when I tried it on a Mac! I would suggest that Mac users bring their own! Also liked having some individual input on my project.

I found supporting diagrams very helpful in understanding the relationship between the data. Thank you.

I've gone from not knowing anything about NVivo to being more confident about using it for coding, etc! 🙂

We’ve had great feedback from attendees, and I also really enjoyed it. So useful for me as I have never properly sat down and worked out what I can do with Nvivo.

The training is amazingly useful! The pace, the friendly approach and simple and clear style of presentation are the best qualities of this training and I am going to recommend it to others.

Cooked meals provided, all dietary needs catered, in-house chef, proper coffee made by barristas.

An extremely useful 2 days - thank you. Worked examples really helped and it was good to have the chance for at elbow support for our own projects. I am looking forward to working on this now.

A stimulating and useful introduction to SPSS. I feel more confident about using SPSS for my research data analysis.
